Overview
Global Innovation Platform, LLC d/b/a EnXchange (“EnXchange”, “we”, “us”, or “our”) operates the Nexus platform, a real-time decision support system for electric utilities and cooperatives. This Privacy Policy describes how EnXchange collects, uses, and protects information in connection with the Nexus platform, including SMS alert notification services delivered on behalf of our utility clients.
Information We Collect
Information provided by your organization: When your employer or utility operator enrolls you as a Nexus notification recipient, we receive your name, phone number, email address, and role or contact information as provided by your organization’s Nexus administrator.
Information generated by platform use: We collect data related to alert delivery, notification status, and platform interactions. This may include message delivery timestamps, opt-in and opt-out events, and device or session information associated with platform access.
Operational data: The Nexus platform processes operational data provided by your utility, including grid telemetry, weather data, and IoT sensor inputs, as described in our agreements with your utility operator. This data is used solely to deliver the platform’s decision support and alerting functions.
How We Use Information
We use the information described above to:
- Deliver SMS and email alert notifications on behalf of your utility operator
- Maintain and operate the Nexus platform
- Provide technical support and resolve service issues
- Comply with applicable legal obligations
- Generate aggregated, anonymized statistics about platform performance
We do not sell your personal information. We do not use your information for advertising or marketing purposes unrelated to the Nexus platform.
How We Share Information
We do not share your personal information with third parties except as follows:
- Your utility operator: Your enrollment information is managed by your utility’s Nexus administrator. Your opt-in and opt-out status is visible to your organization’s authorized administrators.
- Service providers: We use third-party service providers, including Twilio Inc., to deliver SMS notifications. These providers process your phone number solely to deliver messages on our behalf and are contractually prohibited from using your information for any other purpose.
- Legal requirements: We may disclose information if required to do so by law or in response to a valid legal process from a court or government authority.
SMS Notifications
If you are enrolled as a Nexus SMS notification recipient, your phone number will be used to deliver operational alerts generated by the Nexus platform on behalf of your utility operator.
Message frequency: Message frequency varies based on operational conditions and alert activity within your utility’s service territory. During active wildfire or severe weather events, message volume may increase significantly.
Message and data rates may apply. Contact your wireless carrier for details about your plan.
Mobile number non-sharing statement: We do not sell, share, or transfer your mobile phone number to third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes. Your phone number is used solely to deliver operational alert notifications through the Nexus platform and is shared only with Twilio Inc. as our SMS delivery provider.
You may opt out of SMS notifications at any time by:
- Removing yourself from notifications in the Nexus platform, or
- Texting STOP to the sender number

Data Retention
We retain your information for as long as your organization maintains an active Nexus subscription, or as required to fulfill the purposes described in this policy. Upon termination of your organization’s subscription, personal information is handled in accordance with our agreement with your utility operator.
Security
EnXchange uses commercially reasonable technical, physical, and organizational controls to protect the information we process, including encryption of stored credentials and sensitive information. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure; we cannot guarantee absolute security.
Your Rights
Depending on your location, you may have rights regarding your personal information, including the right to access, correct, or request deletion of information we hold about you. To exercise these rights, contact us at the address below. Please note that some requests may need to be directed to your utility operator as the primary data controller for your enrollment information.
Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will update the “Last Updated” date at the top of this page when we do. Continued use of the Nexus platform following any update constitutes acceptance of the revised policy.
